Yes, as long as your ride is free from illness and wears a mask while here, they are welcome to wait for you. Either way, we will call them when you enter the recovery room, which is approximately 30 minutes from when you will leave the building.

It is our policy to release you to a responsible adult. So, if they will be taking the Uber/Lyft with you, then it’s OK. But you cannot take it on your own.

You should be eating a LOW fiber diet (Low Fiber Diet MSKCC) starting about 5 days before your procedure.

Yes, you can drink coffee. Just limit the amount of milk or cream in the coffee on the day of preparation. On the day of your procedure, please do NOT have any cream or milk in the coffee. You may have it black, during the time you are allowed to still drink liquids only.

NO! The right side of the colon develops a film overnight which makes it difficult to see anything without lots of extra washing. It is VERY important to take that morning part.
