Jeremy Spector, MD
Biography
Dr. Spector joined Gastroenterology Associates in 2004. After college, for two years he performed laboratory research investigating the molecular mechanisms of inflammation at Harvard University and is the co-author of several publications. Originally from Connecticut, he then attended medical school at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN followed by an internship, residency and fellowship at Duke University in Durham, North Carolina before returning home to New England. He practices a broad scope of clinical gastroenterology with special interests in colon cancer screening, iron deficiency anemia and small intestinal capsule endoscopy. He is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Brown and enjoys training medical students and residents. He is a fan of the Patriots, Celtics and Bruins, but breaks tradition and supports the Yankees. Outside of the practice he loves spending time with his family and dogs, hiking, and snowshoeing.
